As with most of our Systems, we design products specifically for the customer’s application. An example of this is our CLRS 30/70 Unit. This customer is a decorative anodizing facility that found that the product was in need of a final DI rinse to prevent water spots on the final part. The 30/70-1T provided is a single train system with pressure bypass that allows rinse water to continue to flow with filtration and sterilization during regeneration of the columns. With this, there is no loss of water flows at time of regeneration of the columns. The CLRS 70/30 system incorporates Variable Frequency Drives and pumps for wastewater treatment flows from 30 to 70 gpm. The VFD controllers and special VFD pumps allow flows based on production rinse requirements. These pumps supply all Schedule 80 PVC plumbing and valves to control heads, all using ceramic seals. These valves and heads are almost indestructible with 100s in use worldwide. These control heads allow the regeneration chemistry to be either HCL or H2SO4 acid and NaOH concentrates without any degradation of the components. Using special Cation and Anion resin combinations, the System can treat rinse waters Deionized to less than 1 ppm. Pretreatment with filtration and carbon reduces the load on the resins by removing organics and suspended solids. After treatment, the DI water is sterilized by advanced oxidation to prevent algae and/or bacteria from reaching the process rinse tanks. The System is shown with the basic UL Certified NEMA control panel that includes Allen Bradley PLC and components that not only control the regenerations, but also can transmit operational data to other data collection sites for shop management purposes. A dual train CLRS version is also available for continuous treatment while off-line train regenerations are being done. This also guarantees operation while column or plumbing maintenance may be needed. Each application is different, but with hundreds of installations worldwide, we have the expertise and historical knowledge to build the perfect system for wastewater treatment and recycle, with Systems that can produce up to 18 megohms water quality.
